About DE LA SOUL

A 2MC/1DJ hip-hop unit consisting of Pos, Trugoi, and Mace. Started activities in the late 1980s. A member of the Native Tongue group along with The Jungle Brothers and A Tribe Called Quest, they made a spectacular debut in 1989 with the masterpiece ``Three Feet High and Rising'', which was created with their own unique sense of humor, sense, and precise sound.

Eliminating the macho hip-hop feel of songs such as "Gold" and "Guns" that were mainstream at the time, the lyrics focused on more comical and life-sized elements.With a precise pop sound that samples music from various genres such as jazz, funk, and disco, they led a new movement called HIP HOP (new school) in the 1990s. They have introduced what is known in Japan as ``Literary/Herbivore Hip Hop'' and have given rise to the diversification of HIP Hop culture around the world. He left many hit singles that are still talked about, such as "Magic Number" and "Me, Myself and I," and released many masterpieces such as "De La Soul Is Dead" and "Stakes Is High." A legendary trio in the HIP hop world both in name and reality.
